Catalytic Converter High Temperature Sensor for Mitsubishi FTO 2.0 V6 DE3A
This gives a warning signal light on the dash that tells you the Catalytic Converter is overheating.
It's signalling that there is a problem eg unburnt fuel igniting in the CAT, that needs to be looked at as it will destroy your Catalytic Converter and can lead to further engine problems.

Fuel that leaves the combustion chamber unburned will enter the exhaust system and ignite when it hits the catalytic converter (Cat).
This can overheat it to temperatures way above normal and cause the cat to melt and collapse this can then block the exhaust and cause possible engine damage.
This can be the the result of a number of faults including Oxygen/Lambda sensor, an incorrect fuel/air mixture,ignition faults eg plugs or leads, a faulty check valve, incorrect ignition timing or fuel injectors not operating correctly.
